Saving is sin and spending is virtue.....Part 2

Allright, so before you read this post you might want to take a glance on

Saving is sin and spending is virtue - Part 1

In support of this fantastic thought, let me give you a strong reason to go ahead and spend ur money rather then investing. Look at the Economy crisis, and think about it. As yourself following questions:

- America as debt of 37 Trillion USD, even after that how come it landed money to India and other asian countries ???

- Asian citizens save up their money and put them in banks / PF / Stock Market / Bullion Market / Comodities / Fix Deposits and different assets. All this money is reinvested into hedge funds and other stock markets across the world, WHY?? dont we have enough opportunities to invest in our own countries ???

- America's big companies and banks are being bailed out, where the hell they are getting money from ??? ofcourse Asia and other countries .... they have printed enough money .... If it is so, why do India still show that it has debt to US ??

- More then 95 people in US / UK have mortgages, they cant live without it. They buy premium cars / gadgets /other luxurious items, why ??? Why is it so difficult for India to build better infrastructure, public services ... etc ??? We pay similar tax as other countries without receiving enough returns ....

So dammn everything ..... go ahead and spend your money the way you want it ... because its not point being a "good guy" ..... I end up loosing same amount as my friend did who never made any investments .... the difference is I spent all my money for others buying stocks and investments ... rather my friend spent it for himself ... .going out, holidays, parties, gadgets, car, etc.... so whos better ??? whos money was value for money ??? HIM ofcourse .....

hope this opens your eyes..... and you do what you feel like doing rather then bloody investments ....

A Walk to Remember is a 2002 romance film based on the 1998 romance novel by Nicholas Sparks. The movie stars pop singer Mandy Moore and Shane West. The movie was directed by Adam Shankman and produced by Denise DiNovi and Hunt Lowry for Warner Bros. Pictures. The novel written by Nicholas Sparks is set in the 1950s while the film is set in present day.

Story:

When a prank on a fellow high-school student goes wrong, popular but rebellious Landon Carter (Shane West) is threatened with expulsion. His punishment is mandatory participation in various after-school activities, such as tutoring disadvantaged children and performing in the drama club's spring musical. At these functions he is forced to interact with quiet, bookish Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), a girl he has known for many years but with whom he has rarely ever spoken. Their differing social statures leave them worlds apart, despite their close physical proximity.

When Landon has trouble learning his lines, he asks Jamie for help. She agrees to help him if he promises not to fall in love with her. Landon laughs off the strange remark, believing Jamie to be the last person with whom he would ever fall in love. After all, Landon has access to the prettiest and most popular girls in town; and between her shy demeanor and old-fashioned wardrobe, Jamie doesn't exactly fall into that category.

Landon and Jamie begin practicing together at her house after school. The two form a tentative friendship, and Landon learns that Jamie has a wish list of all the things she hopes to do in her life, such as getting a tattoo and being in two places at once. One day, Jamie approaches Landon at his locker, where he is hanging out with some of his friends. When Jamie asks Landon if they are still on for practice that afternoon he smirks "In your dreams". His friends laugh and Landon's smirk falters as Jamie's face fills with betrayal and embarrassment. That afternoon Landon arrives at Jamie's house, hoping that Jamie will still agree to help him. But she refuses to open the door. When she eventually does, she sarcastically remarks that they can be "secret friends". She slams the door in his face when he agrees. Landon eventually learns the script by himself.

During the play, Jamie astounds Landon and the entire audience with her beauty and voice. Landon kisses Jamie during the play, which was not in the script, and Landon tries to get close to Jamie, but she repeatedly rejects him. It is only after a mean joke played on Jamie by Landon's friends that Jamie agrees to get to know Landon after he punches out Dean and shuns Belinda (his friends who played the joke) and takes Jamie home. The two pursue a relationship. He takes her out to dinner and dances with her, something he never did for anyone else. When he discovers that Jamie has a wish list, he sets out to help her accomplish them. One memorable date had Landon taking Jamie to the state line. He excitedly positions her on the line in just the right way, and when Jamie asks him what he's doing he tells her "You're in two places at once". Her face lights up with joy, as she realizes that Landon set out to make her impossible dreams come true.

Jamie finally tells Landon that she has terminal leukemia and has stopped responding to treatments. Landon gets upset at first. Jamie tells him the reason why she didn't tell him because she was moving on with her life and using the time she left but then Landon happened and she fell in love with him. Jamie starts to break down as she says to Landon "I do not need a reason to be angry with God." and she flees.

Landon goes to his doctor father's house and asks him to help Jamie. His father freaks out a bit and says that he needs to examine Jamie and know her medical history before he could do anything. Landon leaves in a huff.

Landon and Jamie make up the next day. They hug and he tells her that he will be there for her. Soon, word gets out about Jamie's illness. Eric, Landon's best friend comes and tells him how sorry he is and that he didn't understand. Dean and Belinda both come and apologize.

Jamie's cancer gets worse and she collapses in her father's arms. He rushes her to the hospital where he meets Landon. Landon doesn't leave Jamie's side until her father practically has to pry him away. Jamie's father sits with Jamie and tells her that "If I've kept you too close, it's because I wanted to keep you longer." Jamie tells him that she loves him and her father breaks down.

The next day, Landon comes to the hospital and sees Jamie being wheeled out of there. He asks what's going on. Jamie asks him to thank his father for her. Landon asks Jamie's father what she means. He tells him that his father is going to pay for private homecare for Jamie. Landon is stunned. Late that night, Landon knocks on his father's front door. His father answers. Landon whispers "thank you." His father hugs him. With all the exhaustion and fear billowing over, Landon breaks down in tears in his dad's arms.

Landon continues to fulfill various wishes on Jamie's list, such as building her a telescope so she can see a comet. Through this process, Landon and Jamie learn more about the nature of love. The movie ends with Jamie's death, but only after the couple are married in the same chapel as was Jamie's deceased mother, the event that topped Jamie's wish list. Landon himself becomes a better person through Jamie's memory, achieving the goals that he set out to do, like she did.

Four years later, Landon visits Jamie's father. It is obvious that Jamie helped him to focus and become a better person. For example, he reveals he has finished college and been accepted to medical school; prior to meeting her he had no plans for life after high school. He tells Jamie's father that he is sorry he could not grant Jamie's wish to witness "a miracle" before she died. Her father says "She did. It was you".

Kahin to hogi ho - lyrics

Album : Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Music: A.R. Rehmaan
Kahin to.. kahin to.
Hogi woh
Duniya jahan tu mere saaath hain

Chaha mein chaha tu
Aur jaan bas tere mere zajbaat hain
Hogi jahan saba teri
Palkon ki kirano mein
Lori jahan chand ki
Sune teri bahon mein...

[Jane na kahan woh duniya hai
Jane na woh hai bhi ya nahi
Jahan meri zindagi mujhse
Inti kafa nahi ] - [2]

Saasein kho gai hai kiski aahon mein
Mein kho gai hoon jane kiski baahon mein
Manzilon se rahe dhondte chali
Aur kho gai hai manzil kahin rahon mein
Kahin to kahin to hai nasha
Teri meri har mulakat mein
Hoton se hoton ko
Chumti o rehete hai hum har baat pe
Kehti hain fiza jahan
Teri zaameen aasman
Lyricsmasti
Jahan hai tu
Meri hasi meri khushi
Meri jaan....

[Jane na kahan woh duniya hai
Jane na woh hai bhi ya nahi
Jahan meri zindagi mujhse
Inti kafa nahi ]- [2]

Saving is sin and spending is virtue.....

The Japanese save a lot. They do not spend much.
Also Japan exports far more than it imports.
Has an annual trade surplus of over $100 billion, yet Japanese economy is considered weak, even collapsing.
Americans spend, save little.
Also US import more than it exports.
Has an annual trade deficit of over $400 billion.
Yet, the American economy is considered strong and trusted to get stronger.
But where from do Americans get money to spend?
They borrow from Japan, China, and even India.
Virtually others save for the US to spend.
Global savings are mostly invested in US, in dollars.
India itself keeps its foreign currency assets of over $50 billions in US securities.
China has sunk over $160 billion in US securities.
Japan's stakes in US securities is in trillions.

Result:
The US has taken over $5 trillion from the world.
So, as the world saves for the US, Americans spend freely.
Today, to keep the US consumption going, that is for the US economy to work, the countries have to remit $180 billion every quarter that is $2 billion a day to the US!
Otherwise the US economy would go for a sick.
So will the global economy.
The result will be no different if US consumers begin consuming less.
A Chinese economist asked a neat question.
Who has invested more, US in China, or China in US?
The US has invested in China less than half of what China has invested in US.
The same is the case with India. We have invested in US over $50 billion.
But the US has invested less than $20 billion in India.
Why the world is after US?
The secret lies in the American spending, that they hardly save.
In fact they use their credit cards to spend their future income.
That the US spends is what makes it attractive to export to the US.
So US imports more than what it exports year after year.

The result:
The world is dependent on US consumption for its growth.
By its deepening culture of consumption, the US has habituated the world to feed on US consumption.
But as the US needs money to finance its consumption, the world provides the money.
It's like a shopkeeper providing the money to a customer so that the customer keeps buying from his shop. The customer will not buy; the shop won't have business, unless the shopkeeper funds him.
The US is like the lucky customer.
And the world is like the helpless shopkeeper financier.
Who is America's biggest shopkeeper financer?
Japan of course.
Yet it's Japan which is regarded as weak.
Modern economists complain that Japanese do not spend, so they do not Grow.
To force the Japanese to spend, the Japanese government exerted itself.
Reduced the savings rates, even charged the savers Even then the Japanese did not spend (habits don't change, even with taxes, do they?).
Their traditional postal savings alone is over $1.2 trillions, about three times the Indian GDP.
Thus, savings, far from being the strength of Japan, has become its pain.
Hence, what is the lesson?
A nation cannot grow unless the people spend, not save. Not just spend, but borrow and spend.

Dr. Jagdish Bhagwati, the famous Indian-born economist in the US, told that don't wastefully save.
Start spending, on imported cars and, seriously, even on cosmetics! This will put all nations on a growth curve.
'Saving is sin, and spending is virtue.'
Before you follow this neo economics, get some fools to save so that you can borrow from them and spend.
This is what US has successfully done in last few decades.

Continue … My business trip to Scotland.

This is the part 2... hence you must read part one at

http://mihirsangani.blogspot.com/2008/05/my-business-trip-to-scotland.html

before reading this one.....

So I had to find an innovative way of cooking without a kitchen. I was carrying the ready to cook noodles and other packs for easy use, but even they needed microwave or boiling water. Now the hotel room I was in, had a coffee making machine … which boils the water and stops automatically once the water reaches the boiling point. Guess what, I used it to boil the water … and than once the water is boiled I would put the ready to eat pack in it and than keep turning it on and off again and again, once the food is warm enough to eat… I would eat like a maniac to finish it before its cold again. So this is how I managed to cook for a month. And guess what …. I even used to boil potato for sandwiches and **Bhel**… yeah I was carrying those bhel packs which lasts for 4 – 6 weeks.

So this is how I cooked the food and ate. My office had microwave … so after couple of days I started carrying the ready to eat pack and some quick cook food in the office to have a proper food. That’s how I survived there for a month.

So, now it was day 2; again the English breakfast … and for a change I asked for a cappuccino today because the coffee that they served was not at all good. Same old story … not many options for vegetarian same old hash brown, grilled tomato, cornflakes, fruits and yogurts. Had that and went to office, by cab (Ooops the taxi cost was killing me). Now I realised that Mark my buddy or mentor was in a mess because he was told by my manager that I cannot work because I am on a business visa. When I was told this, I said than I better go back to India and get the right kind of work permit you need so that I can start working asap. But he said that my manager will be in the office in couple of days and till than I should relax and read manuals. So days came and went by, same old thing … day started with an English breakfast and ended with the innovative way of cooking. And those same old boring Limited TV channels.

Now I passed 5 days like that, and it was time for weekend … dammn what am I gonna do for that long weekend… so I slept till 1400 hours on Saturday and than woke up and made bhel and ate. Than I was finding ways to kill time … so thought might as well go to the health club in a hotel and check it out … booom …. It was a room where they fitted 1 treadmill, 1 walker, 1 rover, and few weights … and the swimming pool was a baby pool … I was so dammn pissed looking at it… cant describe… but let me give u some indications **** ******* #****** * * *£$”£$”£$”£$. Got it ??? lolz!!!!

Anyway … sauna was good enough so I thought may be I can kill some time there… so I did pass some time … than later in the evening I took a walk in the market and did some window shopping. Again it was evening and I thought of having something outside for a change, and landed at pizza hut. There were only two choices for vegetarians and I took one of them and had it.

So now I killed Sunday the similar way I killed Saturday, but the good thing was that there were movies back to back on Sunday which helped me kill at least 8 hours.

Week two was similar and I met my manager he said that I should keep some patient and things will work out well. I managed to find a pc in the office, and one of the local guy helped me bring it back up and login to it … use it for internet and stuffs. So my day used to begin with an English breakfast and than the internet surfing at office and than when I m back in hotel … it was Top Gear and “Survival Stories” and some movies which used to help me kill some time. But for how long ??? I was frustrated in week 3 and started finding ways to pre-pond my return. I could manage to do so and I did. So on the last weekend I did some shopping for chocolates and others stuffs. Packed my bags and few….. I was ready to leave Scotland.

I did that … left from Edinburgh and reached Heathrow airport… dammn the flight was at 2200 and I was in heathrow at 1430. What do I do ??? there were no good restaurants where I can have vegetarian food neither a pizza outlet … finally managed to go to Italian restaurant and found some vegi salad and a same old margarita cheese pizza. Ate it and passed time listening to music… finally was in flight and landed in India after sharp 9 hours. Wow … it feels so good being back home.

So overall this experience was a big bull shit… and guess what … i wrote this when I am here … back in Scotland for long time… may be more than 6 months …. Things have changed a little bit because now I am in an apartment and can cook what I want to eat with ease.

Door na jaa lyrics from Jannat

Song : Door Na Ja

Tera chehra meri aankhon mein
Basa, rehne de
Khud ko, thoda sa kahi
Mujh mein bacha, rehne de
Door na ja, Door na ja
Door na ja, Door na ja
Door na ja, Door na ja

Aajke baad mera sara safar, tanha hai
Aur tere saath ka bhi akhir yeh, lamha hai
Aur kuch der mujhe
Aur Kuch der mujhe
Khud se judaa rehne de
Aur Kuch der mujhe khud se judaa rehne de

Door na ja, Door na ja
Door na ja, Door na ja

Ab kahin jake mere dil ko yeh, lagta hai
Yaar ki baahon mein meri jannat ka jahan, basta hai
Aur kuch der mujhe
Aur Kuch der mujhe
In mein bandha rehne de
Aur Kuch der mujhe in mein bandha rehne de

Door na ja, Door na ja
Door na ja, Door na ja

gtalk quotes

if I can see it,then I can do it; if I just believe it there is nothing to it

when you run too fast to get somewhere, you miss the fun of getting there. Life is not a Race so enjoy it slower, listen to the music before its over.

Lord, grant that I may always desire more than I can accomplish

I used to have an open mind, but my brains kept falling out

the pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do

My business trip to scotland

My business trip to scotland - 30 days

Hmmm.....thought to write about this trip since I have nothing much to do today. So I think its a good time to spend on my blog.
I have had many different tours and trips around Europe, Uk, Africa, and India ofcourse.. but I think I want to write about this first to see what it looks like. So you might see more about my travel in the future articles. Now back to the Scotland.
Dont want to mention much about pre-trip situation, but as usual its full of rush. Bag full of ready to eat food packs much more than ever because I am going to be in Scotland for 35 days in a hotel, so no kitchen facility. The most important ingredient in the bag was the Brookbond tea, as I need it atleast once a day. So ... started a Journey from home at about 9.30 am ... pretty much on time but this time I booked a cab to avoide the last min rush as happend in earlier journeys. I had scheduled many calls to be made and few tasks on the way to airport, like city bank card payment, and activating voicemail on my phone and calling few left friends to say good bye. So on the way I completed all of those without fail unlike last time, and thanks to the traffic I had still a good time to utilize. I was really exited to travel by Virgin airlines this time, because for the first time in the history of my company they booked a higher class ticket than Economy. It was suppose to be my first experiance with Virgin Atlantic but I was always a fan of this airlines as they are the first one to book Airbus A380 which will be a dream come true flight for me someday. Just want to mention these couple of incident before boarding the flight. I cheked in and this time I did not have to remove my Steal Toe shoes because the guard did not notice it, so it was a quick security check and I went to the benches and sat. A lady approched a seat next to me, I shifted one seat away to allow her to sit. THIS WAS MY BIGGEST MISTAKE, she was a non stop chatter box and annoying ... using some kind of wierd Hindi+marathi+english+*"£$*"£$ language and propogating how did she managed to travel today as it was decided last night that she is travelling. I could not stand her for more than 10 mins and shifted to anotehr seat. Now there was a group of Gujrati's ... yea ye ... my cast ofcourse... all Aged between 45 - 70, and just one young girl in her 20's but really irritating. She was asked by her several uncles to get some snacks atleast 15 times during an hour of hold, and every time she used to create scene. I was really annoyed because of these two irritating ladies around me and finally decided to go and stand near the window. Now I boarded the flight and I was delighted by two young and beautiful air hostes assisting me to find my seats.... WOW!!! it was good and a relief,,, not the airhostes ... i m talking baout seat. Finally settled, and that was a jouney of 9 hours non stop flight before I reach london. On board movies and food made it easy for me to travel, ofcourse the Premium class was definately an added advantage, atleast there were no annoying people around me. I reached London on a sharp time and than I had a connecting flight to Edinburg, I quickly changed terminals and reached there, now this lady told me that I need to walk back to the immegration department to get my photo clicked and I was wondering why I did not see it... so I had to run and rush to get there ... which was really difficult to locate. After reaching there I realised that the guyz at the junction before the immegration department are suppose to guide everyone to the immegration department way, but they did not guide me Assumeing I was with the group of people ahead of me and do not need immegration. Now i had to go 2 rounds of 20 mins walk because of this silly assumption. Finally I settled down in the connecting flight and the lady on the next seat helped me find out way to reach my final destination LIVNIGSTON. I was dead asleep in the flight which was late by an hour, and did not realise when I reached Edinburg. Now there are no taxies on the airport, I do not have coach inforamiton no no no no nothing .... but a big mess. Finally I could find a taxi waiting at the extream end of the airport and managed to reach the hotel. Mission accomplish ... phew.

Does this sound boring... ??? who the hell cares ... lolz!!!! But please feel free to pur ur comments.

Now the day two, I was well dressed with my latest formals and looked quite professional as usual. After a boring english break fast, I reached the office. No one was there to escort me or receive me as expected, but its not their fault and I was finally escorted by Mark. Nothing much on day one but I realise that I am in mess, as they have not prepared Laptop / Cellphone / desk / agenda... no no no nothing. I went back to hotel, and than decided to go to the supermarket to shop some of the groceries. Done, now it was late evening and I had to discover some innovative way of cooking without Kitchen. I will write about this once i get some time.

Once all the scientists die and go to heaven. They decide to play hide-n-seek

Unfortunately Einstein is the one who has the den...........He is supposed to count upto 100...and then start searching.....

Everyone starts hiding except Newton.........

Newton just draws a square of 1 meter and stands in it right in front of Einstein.

Einstein's counting 1,2,3......97,98,99.....100........ He opens his eyes and finds Newton standing in front........

Einstein says "newton's out..newton's out....."

Newton denies and says "I am not out........I am not Newton......"

All the scientists come out to see how he proves that he is not Newton.

Newton says "I am standing in a square of area 1m squared.....

That makes me Newton per meter squared......

since one Newton per meter squared is one Pascal, I'm Pascal, Therefore Pascal is OUT.......! ,_

GENERAL MOTORS WEIGHT LOSS DIET*

The following diet and health program was developed for the employees and the dependants of General Motors Inc.The program was developed in conjunction with the grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the . It was first tried at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation at a general meeting on August 15, 1995. General Motors Corporation wholly endorsed this program and is making it available to all employees and families. This program will be available at all General Motors Food service facilities.

Food and Drug Administration

It is the management’s intention to facilitate a welfare and fitness program for everyone. This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs. per week. It

will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition. During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.

~~

DAY ONE

All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want. It is suggested you consume lost of watermelon and cantaloupe.

~~

DAY TWO

All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type. Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for breakfast.

~~

DAY THREE

Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet and no potatoes today.

~~

DAY FOUR

Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. You can also have I bowl of vegetables soup.

~~

DAY FIVE

Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 cup of rice. You also have to eat six whole tomatoes and drink 12 glasses of water today to cleanse your system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.

~~

DAY SIX

Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat all the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your hears content.

~~

DAY SEVEN

Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and the vegetables you care to consume. Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kgs. lighter than 1 week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you rest for three days before every yepetition. You have your system under control now and it will thank you for all the purging and cleansing you just gave it. Even more than a diet program it is good to follow this diet once in a while to clean your digestive system and remove toxic substances that have a accumulated in the system.

~~

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

The most important element of the program is the 10 tall glasses of water a day. You can also flavour the water will some lemon to make the drink easier. While on the program, take only black coffee and never more than one teaspoon of oil. Preferably do not use oil because the high calorific content. No fruit juices before day seven. Here is what happens to you body while you are on this program and how and why it works.

~~

Day 1: You are preparing your system for the upcoming program. Your only source of nutrition is fresh fruits. Fruits are nature’s perfect food. They provide everything you can possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.

~~

Day 2: Starts with a fix complex carbohydrates in the form of a boiled potato. This is taken in the form of a boiled potato and taken in the morning to provide energy and balance. The rest of the day too consists of vegetables which are virtually calories

free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.

~~

Day 3: Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from fruits. Your system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will have cravings, which should start to diminish by day four.

~~

Day 4: Bananas and milk. You are in for a surprise. You probably will not be able to eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there fore the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed the last three days. You will notice a definite loss of desire for sweets and you will be surprised at how easy this day will go.

~~

Day 5: Rice and tomatoes. The rice is for the carbohydrates and the tomatoes are for the digestion and the fibre. Lots of water purifies your system. You should notice colourless urine today. Do not feel you have to eat one cup rice, you may eat less. But

you may eat six tomatoes.

~~

Day 6: It is similar to five. Vitamins and fibre from the vegetables and carbohydrates from the rice. By now your system is in a total weight loss inclination. There should be a noticeable difference in the way you look today compared to day one.

~~

Day 7: You may celebrate with champagne. You may also have white wine instead of champagne, but in al practical programs, and in all surveys done to measure the success of the program, General Motors employees have always preferred champagne to white wine.

Motor than one cup of coffee with milk is especially forbidden. Milk and oil add empty calories to your diet. Avid coffee lovers can console themselves with black coffee. However, after the first week, it will help your digestion and set your stomach. The key think to remeb4er is that if you are hungry at any time, then you are not following the diet correctly.Almost all people give up the diet when they are hungry because of dieting. The secret of this program is that you should never hungry. If it is a vegetable day, eat so much vegetables so that you are never hungry. If it is a fruits day, eat so much fruits that you are never hungry. You may be bored of eating vegetables all day, but you should not be hungry. You can take any amount of General Motors wonder soup on any day.

~~

GENERAL MOTORS WONDER SOUP

The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to drink large quantities of this soup.

23 oz water

06 large onions

02 green peppers

03 whole tomatoes

1 cabbage

1 bunch celery - add herbs and seasoning as desired.

This program is highly recommended for women and men above 40 for whom excess weight is especially dangerous. Excess weight for women aggravates arthritis problems and leads to rapid joint decay. Pain and joint deterioration can be lessened by weight loss as weight loss removes the stress on the knee joint. Excess weight is the most critical factor in keeping good health and excess weight is responsible for the most problems including coronary diseases, heart problems, arthritis and cancer among other serious life threatening diseases. Most serious health problems can be avoided by the single function of maintaining an ideal weight. Daily mild exercise of 20 minutes is also essential. Do not tire yourself out, but being regular in your exercise and maintaining an ideal weight goes a long way in ensuring a happy, healthy and long life.

Wedding Rehearsal

During the wedding rehearsal, the groom approached the preacher with an unusual offer.

"Look, I'll give you $100 if you'll change the wedding vows. When you get to me and the part where I'm to promise to "love, honor and cherish" and "forsaking all others, be faithful to her forever," I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave that part out." He passed the minister a $100 bill and walked away satisfied.

It is now the day of the wedding, and the bride and groom have moved to that part of the ceremony where the vows are exchanged. When it comes time for the groom's vows, the preacher looks the young man in the eye and says: "Will you promise to prostrate yourself before her, obey her every command and wish, serve her breakfast in bed every morning of your life and vow eternally before God and your lovely wife that you will not ever even look at another woman, as long as you both shall live?" The groom gulped and looked around, and said in a tiny voice, "Yes."

The groom leaned toward the preacher and whispered: "I thought we had a deal."

The preacher put the $100 bill into his hand and whispered back: "She made me a much better offer
